From the beginning, research has been central to how Tattoo Pathway operates. To ensure our work meets academic standards and maintains independence, we established a dedicated research body.
The Tattoo Research Institute
We wanted our research to be credible at an academic level — independent, rigorous, and taken seriously. So we formed the Tattoo Research Institute, a dedicated body focused solely on increasing the collective knowledge and understanding of tattooing.
The Institute explores not only what tattooing is, but what it does — the technical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of marking the body with intention.

Tattoo Pathway takes those findings and turns them into practical education — courses, guides, and frameworks that people can actually use. The Six Pillars, our core educational framework, emerged directly from years of research into how people experience tattooing.
